Long time no post.

No seriously. I haven't posted on here in months. But I want to try to be better about it. We'll see if it happens. After a crazy busy week with three exams, I am spending last night and tonight at home. I'll go back up to State before class tomorrow morning.
School has kept me really busy, but I like it. I'm taking physics (okay, I don't really like physics), biology, intro to meteorology, and spanish. It's all quite difficult, but interesting. I switched my major right before Christmas break to Zoology. I wanted to have a more hands-on, possibly outdoorsy career. I am also meeting with a meteorology advisor this Friday and may add Earth Science with a meteorology concentration as a second major. I'm not sure exactly what I want to do with my degree(s), but a meteorologist is on my list. As is doing some kind of environmental research.
In November, I began mentoring Charlie, a 4th grade student at St. Thomas Aquinas School in East Lansing, through Honors Times Two, an Honors College program. I love it! Charlie is really smart and even told me that I should use Keynote instead of Powerpoint. He loves to write and we are currently working on an animation video. I am thinking our next project might be a Rube Goldberg machine. He catches onto things really fast, too, so it's fun. He also told me that he looks forward to our sessions each week and that it's the best part of his week. Definitely made me feel good! :) While I was looking for videos of Rube Goldbergs on YouTube to show Charlie, I found this one:
It's legit! Watch it and see for yourself!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
