I was afraid of this

Wow, it's been a long time since I posted. I was afraid I would get too busy and be unable to write. Life has just been crazy! I have all of my homework done for tomorrow, so that is very nice. I have to go to my Professorial Assistantship in about a half hour (my PA is working for a James Madison professor with her India post-disaster research). Unfortunately, I have to miss my floor dinner because of it.
I went in to my writing professor's office hours last week and after I did that, I realized he isn't so scary (he's like 70+ years old, has been teaching for 50 and helped found the James Madison College here at MSU). My Econ class is rather boring, but, well, it's econ...what did I expect? Physical geography is semi-interesting, but rather basic in content (we went over that the earth spins on an axis and is tilted...). But I went to the prof's office hours yesterday to earn 5 extra credit points just for showing up. :) Madison 201, the all-freshman James Madison Intro to Public Affairs course, is quite boring. It's a giant lecture and we are currently reading The Federalist Papers. Wow. They are not fun...at all. The language is sometimes difficult to understand due to the use of extremely large words, but I am getting better at comprehending it. My workload overall is quite a bit, but I am learning to take things one thing at a time and am managing.
This Sunday is my half-marathon and I am getting very excited! I have run 12.6 miles as my longest run, but am quite excited to do the full thing! I am tapering this week though (tapering means doing shorter, easier runs for the days leading up to the race in order to give your body plenty of rest), so I did a faster 7 miler today, but will do no more than 3 or 4 miles for the next few days and they will be at a snail pace.
